New York is on Fire!

It looks like it is, at least. My wife and I took a trip to Saranac Lake and from there via train to Lake Placid on Monday. The whole trip out there was flooded with the bright yellow and red leaves of an amazing Fall! There are things I really love about ‘the North Country’. That trip out to Lake George for the marriage retreat gave us some really good ideas of other places to see. The only disappointing thing about the train ride was that we only got about 40 minutes at Lake Placid before we had to head back (it was a round trip ticket, $10 a person 🙂 )

A view outside the window of the 'Open Car' on our train, there were regular windows on the other cars.

Any thoughts? I'd like to hear from you!
